I'm Gonna be a Bridesmaid!

My best friend of about 16 years is getting married! And guess who has the honor of being one of her bridesmaids! I cannot wait to stand by her side when she ties-the-knot in January. Katie and Connor are so perfect for each other, and I am absolutely thrilled for both of them.

Mocking Jay, Tucson and Tattoos

It took about a year and a half, but this past weekend, Joe and I finally made the trip down to Tucson to visit my best friend Katie. She's in the Air Force and has been stationed there for over a year, and we just went down to visit for the first time! We usually see her when she comes here because her family lives close to us, but we decided it would be fun to finally see her place. It's about a four hour drive from our house to hers, but it was well worth it. We had so much fun! We first met up at a movie theater to see Mocking Jay, so good! Then the next day she showed us her favorite cafe and took us to two of her favorite restaurants, and shopped around at her favorite little stores. I even got a tattoo while I was there, the Matryoshka Doll I've been wanting forever! We had a really great weekend and I'm so glad we decided to finally visit, I loved seeing where she's been living and I'm sure we'll be going there a lot more now!

I didn't get a ton of pictures, I always get too distracted having fun, but here are a few I managed to snap. As always, I'll post a better tattoo photo once it's all healed. I hope your weekend was wonderful!

Hike Up Spruce Mountain

Yesterday felt like the perfect day for breakfast at the Dinner Bell and a little hike. Joe, our friends Katie and Jake, and I drove up a bumpy dirt road a while before we got out and hiked about a half a mile up this steep mountain. The view when we reached the top was so breath taking. I really enjoyed just sitting up there enjoying the view and each others company. This town we live in really is beautiful and I really want to take advantage of all it offers. 

After the hike we all went back to Katie's house for a bit for dinner. Then we went and saw Gravity in 3D. Which was AMAZING. It was really different than any movie I'd ever seen, and you could safely say I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I really recommend it!

Anyway, yesterday was a really great Sunday for me. I love relaxing, fun days like these and they always make me want more!

Labor Day Weekend

I've been having the best three day weekend! My friend Katie from Tucson came up to spend it with me and we had a great time doing our usual hanging out, talking and running around down town taking photos. It's always so great having a ton of free time to spend just doing anything we want and having fun. We took a bunch of photos before it started raining, but it was a really beautiful day.

Katie and I have been spending a lot of time together lately, which I'm loving because we grew up together and used to be super close. It's been really nice rekindling our friendship and getting things back to how they used to be. She's in the military and always very busy, but I really hope we are able continue spending time off together and having fun.
