Christmas 2015

Saturday, December 26, 2015

This Christmas, AKA Violet's First Christmas, was definitely a good one! On Christmas Eve, we drove about two and a half hours to my sister's house for a party, which was Violet's first time in the car for more than about 15 minutes. She did so well! She looked out the window for about ten minutes then slept the whole rest of the way! It was so nice to have that time to just talk with Joe and sing to Christmas music. We spent that day hanging out with family and having a really nice Christmas Eve. Then, Violet slept the whole way back home! Such a nice surprise since I was slightly nervous for the trip!

On Christmas Morning, Joe's parents came to our house and we made a yummy breakfast together and opened presents. It was really nice and relaxing. We kept laughing about how Violet got the most presents out of everyone and she didn't even care! It will be so much fun next year when she cares a little bit and can rip open gifts.

Then later that night, we went to my other sister's house (in town) for dinner. More food and family and presents, so much fun! Christmas is seriously the best, and sharing it with a baby this time made it that much more special!

My Christmas Wish List

Thursday, December 10, 2015

1. I'm obsessed with big, round sunglasses. I have a few pairs similar to these from Free People that I love, so I really would like a nicer pair, and these are amazing!

2. Everyone is talking about these adult coloring books, apparently they're super calming and therapeutic. I think it'd be so much fun to have a ton of sharp colored pencils and just go to town, if I ever had any extra time!

3. I already have a two Petunia diaper bags that I absolutely love, but I can't help but want this beautiful backpack. It seems like the perfect everyday bag with plenty of room for all those baby necessities.

4. I currently own the original iPad Mini, and since it came out so long ago, it's gotten very slow and the battery doesn't last at all, so it's time for an upgrade! I love the size of the Mini, and I would love to have a gold one to match my phone.

5. I really want a small, simple photo printer like this one to keep on my desk. I'm constantly sending in photos to Walgreens, especially now since having a baby and wanting a ton of photos for baby books and albums, so it'd be very convenient to just print all the photos I want right at home.

What's on your Christmas wish list this year?

Christmas 2014

Friday, December 26, 2014

Joe and I had the most amazing first Christmas as a married couple. It's one I will remember forever. Such a lovely day spent laughing with family, eating delicious food, and being super lovey-dovey!

Christmas 2014 was definitely one for the books!

I hope those of you who celebrate had a completely wonderful Christmas, and the rest of you had a nice Thursday!

Stocking Stuffer Ideas

Wednesday, December 3, 2014

I don't know about you, but when I was little on Christmas morning, my stocking was my favorite thing to dig through. Something about a big sock full of little surprises is just so fun, such a cool holiday tradition. So I thought it would make sense to gather a few things that I think would be awesome to receive in my stocking, and hopefully you'll see an idea for your best friend's, mom's, sister's, or even your own stocking! Happy stocking stuffing!

xoxo!

Decking the Halls

Monday, December 1, 2014

Happy December! Can you believe it's already the last month of 2014?! I know I'm shocked! It does not seem like a whole year has gone by since we decorated our house for Christmas last year, but it snuck up on us and last night we put up our little tree. I love so much when the house is Christmassy, it reminds me of being a little kid filled with excitement for all of the amazing things to come. Especially because this year is mine and Joe's first Christmas married, we're just so happy.

Have you decorated for any of the holidays yet, isn't it just the best!

Christmas Day and Some Big Exciting News

Thursday, December 26, 2013

I'm sure I probably say this every year, but I'll say it again anyways; this Christmas was the best one ever! There's just something about that day that gives everyone the happiest warmest feeling and I absolutely love it!

On Christmas morning Joe and I went to my mom's brand new house in Queen Creek. It was so nice to see her so happy and content in her new place. It's really beautiful and I'm so glad she's loving it there. We spent the morning there with her, Sheila, Kendall, and Emma eating bagels, opening gifts and just enjoying each others company. My two other sisters and niece and nephew weren't able to make it, since they spent the morning here in Prescott. I don't feel like I see my mom as much anymore since she moved a couple hours away, so I always love being able to spend time with her, it makes it more special.

Later that afternoon we headed back up the hill to my oldest sister's house to celebrate with my dad, which was a ton of fun too. We ate dinner and played a round of White Elephant, which was hilarious! I also love spending time with Zaiden and Ellie on holidays, seeing them hyped up on sugar, so excited to have all these people over, and ripping into presents. So fun!

At first I really hated the idea of having two separate holidays with each parent, it's pretty new to me, but in the end all that matters is that they're both happy and I'm able to see them both on Christmas. So I'd say Christmas was a huge success!

Christmas morning. We all wore matching pajamas just like every year!

Thanks, Dad!

Now on to the big, exciting news. My big sister Sheila is PREGNANT! I am going to be a third-degree aunt! She told all of us last month and we are all over the moon thrilled for her and Kendall! I'm so excited to be able to see her grow and have a big pregnant belly, and cannot wait to meet my new niece or nephew next summer! Yay!

Eve of Christmas Eve

Monday, December 23, 2013

Joe and I decided to have our own little Christmas tonight because tomorrow and the next day is going to be packed full of parties and family. Tomorrow we have to be at my grandma's house in Mesa at noon, then another party that night, Christmas morning at my mom's, and Christmas night with my dad. Not to mention time with Joe's parents when they get back from Vermont. WHEW! Busy busy!

Tonight was wonderful though. Joe came home from work and I made us some spaghetti for dinner. Then we put on our jammies, popped in a Christmas movie and gave each other gifts. I had SO much fun shopping for Joe's presents. I feel like I know him a million times more than I did last year, so everything I bought for him seemed perfect. As cheesy as it sounds, giving really is the meaning of this holiday, and it gives me such a warm wonderful feeling being able to overdo that.  I love being able to know somebody so well that I will know exactly what will make them smile.

I seriously feel like the luckiest girl in the world tonight. Not because of the gifts that were bought for me, but because I have somebody who cares and listens and knows me so well. And I have someone I can do the same for. It is the best feeling in the world!

I'm so excited for this print! It's from Parlor Tattoo Prints on Etsy. All of the artwork is so amazing and I can't wait to get this framed and hung on the wall!

I was so happy to be able to get this for Joe! It's a children's book written by Tom Delonge (from Blink 182 and Angels and Airwaves) who is one of Joe's favorite people. I woke up early the morning it was released to make sure I could get one and most were already sold out! They are signed and limited to 1000, so I'm so happy I was able to snag one! And he looked so excited when he opened it :)

Nic's gift from daddy :)

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas Eve Eve!
